The Beechcraft P35 (1962-1963) is often called the "sweet spot" of the V-tail lineage.Â
The Beech P35 Bonanza represents the final evolution of the original "short body" airframe before the Bonanza was significantly redesigned for the S35 model. While it shares the same 260 hp engine and distinctive long rear windows as the previous year model, the P35 introduced a more modern interior and cockpit that set it apart from its predecessors.
Key differentiators of the P35 include the end of "piano keys" with its redesigned instrument panel, a "landing gear extended" max speed increase (Vle) to 165 mph, and fuel system simplification. The P35 is the "best of both worlds" in that it is lighter than all models which followed, but had the huge advantage of the standardization on only two main fuel tanks.
Beech was really on its game when they rolled out the P35.
Here's an opportunity to own a high performance single engine that is born of Beechcraft quality, that meets or exceeds the performance of a lot of far more expensive aircraft on the market, and has a nearly new engine with low hours. Where else can you get this kind of quality and performance on such a budget?
Please carefully review the specs, the detailed high resolution image gallery, and the walkaround video below. A significant effort has been made to fully review logbooks and document the specifications of this aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Aircraft Evaluation
| As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review. |
Exterior - During the intake walkaround of N9681Y, I was amazed at how clean and undamaged the exterior aluminum is. I saw no evidence of hail damage or hangar rash. The leading edges and control surfaces look clean and in nice shape.
Exterior paint looks really good from a ways back, and "ok" up close. The accent red on the sides shows some fading. I believe some polishing compound and wax would make the paint look really nice. All windows are in excellent shape, as they were recently replaced.
The Image Gallery (below) contains close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a better idea of the aircraft exterior condition.
Instrument Panel - This P35 Bonanza has a basic "old school" IFR instrument panel with a recent Garmin transponder upgrade which includes ADS-B Out. While the KX170 and KX155 radios are dated, they are known to be durable units.
Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.
Interior - The interior is dated but looks good considering the age. Other than typical light wear, the headliner, seats, side panels, and carpet are in reasonable and very useable condition.
Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery (below) for a detailed look at the interior condition.
