N9333M is one of the cleanest, nicest Mooney M20Es on the market.
The Mooney M20E has earned its place in General Aviation as having huge "bang for the buck" value. It's the higher powered variant of the earlier M20s. You simply cannot find the speed and performance offered by this sports-car-like, certified aircraft anywhere else for the relatively low price tag. The challenge, though, is to find an M20E that has been well cared for, gently flown, has a clean and updated panel, and has good cosmetics inside and out. This aircraft fits that description.
Please carefully review the detailed, high resolution image gallery and lengthy walkaround video below. You'll see every inch of the aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Aircraft Evaluation
| As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review. |
Exterior - The exterior of this M20E is in really nice condition, no doubt because the aircraft is hangared. The aluminum is nearly perfect, no hail damage or hangar rash. I noted one minor ding on the far outboard portion of the leading edge of the left wing (see detailed images below). It's amazing that this vintage of an M20 has such nice aluminum skin.
The paint shows well and exhibits depth and shine. The color combination is beautiful in the direct sunlight and looks nicer than it comes through on photos. The blueish/greenish color leans towards blue, but at some angles looks almost like it has more green in it. I found two spots with minor paint drips, they're difficult to spot though. Overall, it does look nice!
Tires are fairly new, full of tread, and in nice condition. Plexiglas windows and windshield are in nice condition and do not show much age, presumably because the aircraft is always hangared.
In the pictures, did you notice the speed brakes on the tops of the wings? Those are Precise Flight Series 2000 speed brakes. The manufacturer's spec says they can be deployed at any speed, right on up to Vne. With the top of the white arc at 100 MPH, the M20E truly benefits from the speed brakes since bleeding off speed and energy can be a chore as you enter an airport traffic pattern.
The Image Gallery (below) contains many close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a better idea of the aircraft exterior condition.
Instrument Panel - The IFR panel on this Mooney M20E "Super 21" is a standard "6-pack" style, and is very clean, moderately updated, and well maintained. Most of the key instruments are Garmin. The Garmin GNS530W GPS Navigator is WAAS-enabled. The recently installed Garmin transponder provides ADS-B In and Out services, including wireless traffic and weather to your favorite EFB app such as ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot. Cross-country flights are made easier with an STEC System 30 2-axis autopilot.
Some of the most important instruments in an aircraft are engine and fuel monitoring units. This aircraft is equipped with a JPI FS450 fuel flow indicator and an EI US-8 engine analyzer.
N9333M has the manual "Johnson Bar" style of landing gear. This is a far simpler system than electric gear, and simplicity is a good thing in an aircraft! This type of landing gear system is preferred by most Mooney pilots.
Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.
Interior - The interior in N9333M is clean and tidy. During the intake review of the aircraft, I noted no rips or tears, and no areas of wear. The upholstery, floors, side panels, and headliner are in good condition and have a clean, modern look. The aircraft is equipped with shoulder harnesses all the way around (it's unusual to see shoulder harnesses in the back seat of the M20s). Overall, you'd be proud to show off this interior.
Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery (below) for a detailed look at the interior condition.
Summary - This is a cosmetically pleasing, nicely equipped M20E out of Arizona which is in good mechanical condition and has a moderately updated IFR panel. At this price point, and with such incredible performance offered by an M20E, "bang for the buck" factor is high on this aircraft.
