Most General Aviation pilots agree that the Cessna 182 is the best overall airplane in the fleet.
There's not one aircraft that "does it all", but a Cessna 182 does most everything very well and economically. Relative to the market, a 182 can be acquired for a reasonable price, it carries a respectable payload, it has a decent cruise speed, it can fly slowly when needed, and it fits in as well in the backcountry as it does on the ramp at a Class-B airport. And, now the Cessna 182 qualifies under the new MOSAIC FAA rules!
This well-maintained, Garmin IFR equipped, super clean, late model Skylane is ready to go. Its all-Garmin IFR panel, and 2-axis autopilot, coupled with its 1156 lb useful load, long range capability, and gorgeous exterior and interior, make this one of the nicest S-model Skylanes on the market. This is one of those types of aircraft that, when you walk up to it, it does not disappoint.
Please carefully review the detailed, high resolution image gallery and lengthy walkaround video below. You'll see every inch of the aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Walkaround Video
Aircraft Evaluation
| As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review. |
Exterior - Since getting new high quality paint in 2020, and having been hangared most of the time, this low-time 182S has a gorgeous exterior. During the intake process, I did not see any significant issues or damage to the aircraft exterior. The aluminum is in like-new condition, and I noted no evidence of hangar rash or hail damage. Leading and trailing edges are crisp and issue-free.
If you look really carefully, you'll see a hair-line crack on a couple plastic fairings, but that's the worst of it. The exterior is really in nice condition.
The paint is rich and has significant depth. I saw no evidence of any runs or thin spots. Trim paint lines are crisp and without issues. No "orange peel" or other distracting cosmetic issues were visible during my intake process. And, honestly, the dark blue, red, and gray are striking (the pictures don't quite convey how nice the trim colors look). I did see a couple of spots of very minor paint touch-up which are hard to spot unless you're looking carefully.
The Image Gallery (below) contains many close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a better idea of the aircraft exterior condition.
Instrument Panel - The IFR panel on this 182S Skylane is a standard "6-pack" style, and is very clean, moderately updated, and well maintained. All instruments, except for the autopilot, are Garmin. The dual Garmin GPS Navigators (530/430) are both WAAS-enabled. The recently installed Garmin audio panel has bluetooth connectivity, and the recently installed Garmin transponder provides ADS-B In and Out services, including wireless traffic and weather to your favorite EFB app such as ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot. The Garmin instrument group includes a Flight Stream 210 which provides the ability to wirelessly connect to Garmin equipment, allowing the transfer of flight plans from your EFB to the panel. The right side of the instrument panel has a RAM mount and includes the Apple iPad Mini mount pictured above.
Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.
Interior - The Cessna factory interior has rich leather seating, shoulder harness seatbelts for all 4 seats, durable and sharp looking non-textile flooring, and side panels which are in really nice condition. The headliner and baggage area are in generally nice condition too.
During the intake review of the aircraft, I saw no major issues in the interior. The only nitpick I found was that there is some minor wear on the piping on the corner of the pilot's seat. That's it. Overall, the interior is gorgeous.
I removed an inspection plate and did a cursory inspection. The factory corrosion proofing (zinc-based primer) is in excellent condition with no evidence of any corrosion. Check out the last picture in the Image Gallery, it shows the inside of the wing.
Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery (below) for a detailed look at the interior condition.
Summary - This is a cosmetically pleasing, low time Cessna 182S Skylane out of Arizona which is flown regularly, is in good mechanical condition, has an IFR panel, and has a recently installed factory engine. N598MC is, in many respects, nearly new. This aircraft gives you practically everything you'd get from a factory new Skylane, at a fraction of the cost to buy and insure.
