N2285M - main 1

The Piper PA-34-200T Seneca II is recognized as one of the most versatile, safe, and popular light twins in aviation history.

The Seneca II's spacious and comfortable cabin, with a width of 49 inches, seats up to six people in a "club seating" configuration. Its turbo-equipped engines give it an edge on performance that you don't see on many other twins of its class. And, its counter-rotating props enhance safety by eliminating the "critical engine" limitation inherent in most other light twins, simplifying engine-out procedures.

N2285M is one of the few on the market which is this clean and has been cared for with an open checkbook. Its recent paint and interior refresh look fantastic, and its extensive speed mods enable a cruise speed of nearly 200 mph. With its full IFR panel and FIKI (Flight Into Known Icing) capability, this is a true "go anywhere" twin engine.

Please carefully review the specs, the detailed high resolution image gallery, and the walkaround video below. A significant effort has been made to fully review all logbooks and document the specifications and history of this aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Aircraft Evaluation

As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review.

My goal is that any Buyer making the effort to look at an aircraft in person can first see the aircraft "virtually" on this web page.

Exterior - Overall, the exterior of this PA-34-200T turbocharged Seneca II is in very nice shape. During the extensive intake process, I found no evidence of damage, hail, or hangar rash.

The recent paint has retained depth and shine since the aircraft is always hangared. The Plexiglas windows look nice, and the recently installed new tires are in good condition. It was obvious during my evaluation that the current owner has taken pride in this aircraft.

During the logbook review, I found no evidence of damage history or unusual repairs to the aluminum or structure. A review of the NTSB database also reveals no accident reports on this aircraft.

The Image Gallery (below) contains close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a great view of the aircraft exterior.

Instrument Panel - The recent $33K update to the instrument panel makes N2285M a modern IFR platform. These updates include a Garmin GTN750 GPS Navigator/Com Radio/Nav/MFD, a Garmin GTX33ES integrated transponder, a Garmin Flightstream 510, and a Garmin GDL88 integrated ADS-B Out and In. These late technologies, coupled with the venerable S-TEC 55X autopilot w/ altitude hold, make a wonderful setup for the pilot who wants reliable, safe, and enjoyable flying. The GDL88 offers wireless traffic and weather to all occupants and is easily utilized by your favorite EFB such as ForeFlight.

Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.

Interior - Overall, the interior of N2285M is in really nice condition. The upgraded leather seats, in club configuration in the back, are plush and comfortable. The #2 seat, up front, has typical wear considering it sees a lot of traffic, but the remaining seats show less-than-average wear. The carpet is in good condition overall, but could use a little bit of cleaning only up front. The headliner, side panels, and plastics are in terrific condition given the age of the aircraft. I would be proud to invite my family and friends to travel cross country with me in this Seneca II.

Please reach out to me so that I may answer any questions you have.
