The Socata TB 10 Tobago pairs distinctive European design and exceptional cabin width with reliable Lycoming power, offering a comfortable and stylish cross-country cruiser that stands out on any ramp.

As a prominent member of Socata’s renowned "Caribbean Series," the TB 10 Tobago brought automotive-inspired luxury and modern ergonomics to general aviation. While typical four-to-five-seat singles can feel cramped, the Tobago, with seating for 5, is praised for its remarkably wide cabin and large, gull-wing doors that make entry and exit easier for pilots and passengers. Combined with a massive windshield and expansive side windows, the airframe provides an open, airy feel and panoramic visibility that makes long cross-country flights a pleasure.

Underneath its sleek, European-engineered lines lies one of general aviation's most popular and reliable powerplants: a Lycoming O-360 180-horsepower engine. This engine is easy to maintain and parts availability is excellent. The aircraft's wide-track landing gear stance gives it stable and predictable ground handling characteristics during taxi, takeoff, and landing.

For owners seeking the ideal balance of ramp appeal, generous cabin room, stable flight characteristics, and predictable operating costs, this Tobago delivers a uniquely refined flying experience.

This Socata was previously owned by Wings of Hope, an outstanding humanitarian aviation nonprofit organization. The Seller believes strongly in their mission, and therefore contributes every year to their cause. As fortune would have it, the Seller's contribution to a recent raffle ended up being the winning ticket, and much to his surprise, N20DU was the grand prize.

He truly likes this Socata, but with only room for one aircraft in his hangar, and not enough time to fly two aircraft all the time, he has decided that it's best to find a new home for the aircraft. Wings of Hope doesn't let an aircraft out the door until it's in great shape and has been modernized, so this Socata has been nicely updated and is ready to go. Meanwhile, the Seller continues to fly the aircraft regularly, and has said that he enjoys flying it.

Please carefully review the detailed, high resolution image gallery and walkaround video below. You'll see every inch of the aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Walkaround Video

Aircraft Evaluation

As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. Logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and are available upon request for your review.

A broker's evaluation is never a substitute for an independent mechanic's pre-purchase inspection. Buyers are encouraged to hire their own mechanic to do a thorough inspection before completing a purchase.

Exterior - The moment I saw this aircraft in its hangar, I noticed that it had an overall pleasing look to it. While the paint is likely factory original, it looks well preserved for its age. The aluminum is straight, and I did not see any evidence of hangar rash. I did notice that if you look closely, at just the right angle, there are some minor hail pock marks. It's light enough that the Seller hadn't previously noticed it. Look at the up-close images in the image gallery below, particularly at the control surfaces.

The windshield and side windows appear clear and in good condition for their age. I saw no evidence of fluid leaks from the engine or the brakes.

Please explore the extensive, high-resolution close-up image gallery below to verify the good overall exterior condition of this Socata TB 10.

Instrument Panel - N20DU recently underwent a complete instrument panel refresh. It is a 100% Garmin radio stack and a trio GI275s (glass-panel round instruments). It's probably one of the nicest equipped round gauge Socata TB 10s of this vintage around. The IFR-capable panel includes a Garmin GTN650Xi GPS Navigator with nav/com, a GNC215 nav/com, and GI275s for AI, HSI, and engine management. The Garmin GTX345 provides ADS-B In and Out, with its Bluetooth connection to your favorite EFB such as ForeFlight.

Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of the avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.

Interior - The interior was recently refreshed with new carpet and is in nice condition. The seat upholstery is clean, and the seat bolsters are firm and show little if any wear. The headliner and side panels look nice and do not exhibit unusual wear. One really nice feature is that the rear bench seat will allow up to 3 passengers. Taking useful load into consideration, one would not expect to be able to carry 3 large adults, but if you've got some young ones, this could be a great set up for 3. Overall, the interior is really nice.

Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery (below) for a detailed look at the interior condition.
