high useful load,
low engine time
$195,000 USD

Often referred to as the "great SUV of the skies", this PA-32-300 heavy hauler looks great and is immediately ready for its next home.
The Piper PA-32-300 "Cherokee Six" is an iconic workhorse in General Aviation, highly regarded for its utility, capacity, and straightforward nature. Often described as "the great SUV of the skies", the PA-32-300 effectively balances high useful load (1,469 lbs on this aircraft) and generous seating capacity (6 seats) with the simplicity and lower maintenance and insurance costs of a fixed-gear, single-engine design.
The complete and well-organized logbooks of this really nice Cherokee Six indicate that it has lived in relatively dry climates, and has lived in Arizona for the two most recent decades. The fastidious care provided by the current owner has kept this heavy hauler in nice condition, as N15040 is ready-to-go on a moment's notice.
Please carefully review the specs, the detailed high resolution image gallery, and the walkaround video below. A significant effort has been made to fully review all logbooks and document the specifications and history of this aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Aircraft Evaluation
As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review.
My goal is that any Buyer making the effort to look at an aircraft in person can first see the aircraft "virtually" on this web page. |
Exterior - Overall, the exterior of this PA-32-300 is pleasing to the eye and in nice condition. The paint shows significant depth and shine, and it has stayed that way since it is always hangared. The exterior has very little in the way of blemishes or paint damage - just the typical scratches and minor chips around the cowling latches, and a couple of minor scratches and blemishes elsewhere such as on a wing tip. I am nitpicking here, as the aircraft really does look nice. I observed no hail damage anywhere, and all the leading and trailing edges are crisp and undamaged.
The Plexiglas windows look nice, and tires look to be in good condition with plenty of life left in them. It's apparent that the current owner has taken pride in this aircraft.
It's not easy to find a truly nice PA-32-300 nowadays, many are ratted out after years of service in the charter or freight business. This one is a truly nice PA-32.
Overall, the exterior gets an 8+ out of 10. The Image Gallery (below) contains close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a great view of the aircraft exterior.

Instrument Panel - The panel is ready for IFR flight using a Garmin GNS430W WAAS GPS Navigator and the IFR-capable Garmin Apollo GX55 GPS, in conjunction with the Piper Autocontrol III autopilot. A venerable King KX-155 serves as comm/nav #2.
ADS-B In and Out is integrated into the recently installed Garmin GTX345 transponder. This unit allows anyone in the aircraft to connect and consume ADS-B "In" data, which provides position, weather, and traffic information to your favorite EFB such as ForeFlight.
Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.
Interior - Overall, the interior of N15040 is typical and representative of this era of PA-32, and is clean and in satisfactory condition. Also typical is the additional wear on the front "co-pilot" seat, since that seat is used every time the pilot boards the aircraft. It shows a fair amount of wear on both the seat bolsters and on the front of the seat back.
The carpet pile is in reasonable condition, but the carpet could use a good deep cleaning. Plastics are in generally good condition, and the headliner looks really nice - no tears or damage was observed during the intake process. Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery for more details on the interior condition.
