A perfect blend of retractable performance, predictable handling, and proven cross-country reliability.
The Piper PA-28R-200 Arrow II is widely regarded as a premier cross-country aircraft in the general aviation community, celebrated for its predictable handling characteristics and stable flight profile. As a retractable-gear, complex personal cross-country flyer, it strikes an optimal balance between operational economy and performance, offering reliable cruise speeds alongside a highly manageable maintenance profile. Its spacious cabin, forgiving stall behavior, and robust Lycoming engine make it an ideal step-up aircraft for pilots transitioning to high-performance flying or seeking a dependable, long-term regional traveler.
This low time, IFR-equipped Piper Arrow II has been a faithful and well running aircraft for its current owners, but after several years of aircraft ownership, the pilot has transitioned to military flying responsibilities. So, we are looking for a good home for this Arizona-based, always hangared Arrow II. This aircraft has complete logbooks, and has no damage history which is unusual for a retractable gear bird of this vintage. Overall, this is a nice Arrow II.
Please carefully review the detailed, high resolution image gallery and walkaround video below. You'll see every inch of the aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Aircraft Evaluation
| As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review. |
Exterior - Overall, Piper Arrow N6290J presents well and looks good on the exterior. During the intake process, I saw no aluminum damage or issues. Leading and trailing edges of the wings and tail look nice. The paint shows some aging, but has lots of life left and still looks nice. There are several areas where very minor paint cracks and chips are visible, as one may expect for an aircraft of this vintage.
The Plexiglas windows are clear and while they show some age, there is nearly no haze in them. The tires have lots of tread and look like they are in good condition. I saw no evidence of fluid leaks from the engine or the brakes.
We invite you to explore the extensive, high-resolution close-up image gallery below to verify the good overall exterior condition of this Piper PA28R-200 Arrow II.
Instrument Panel - The 100% Garmin IFR panel in this Arrow II has been nicely updated, with the elimination of all vacuum-dependent instruments. The primary NAV/COMM radio, as part of the Garmin GNS 430W GPS navigator, is interfaced to dual Garmin G5 instruments (ADI and HSI). The secondary NAV/COMM radio, a Garmin GNC 215, is interfaced to a Garmin GI 106A CDI for glideslope, localizer, VOR, and GPS approaches.
N6290J is equipped with a Garmin GTX 345 transponder, the industry standard for integrated ADS-B In and Out. This unit seamlessly and wirelessly connects to your favorite EFB, such as ForeFlight, through a Bluetooth connection.
Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.
Interior - The interior of this aircraft was extensively refreshed in 2010. That restoration process included new leather upholstery, a new headliner, and new insulation to improve interior cabin noise. The seats got new foam, and all plastics were either repaired or replaced. New seatbelts were installed. Both yokes were refreshed, and the panel was painted and got new placards. The interior still looks good. The carpet shows some wear, but would respond well to deep cleaning. Overall, the interior of this aircraft looks good.
Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery (below) for a detailed look at the interior condition.
