N4125V – Piper PA-28-181 Archer III

1998 Piper PA-28-181
Archer III
N4125V

Clean, unmolested,
ready-to-fly Archer III

$175,000 USD

The incredibly popular and affordable Piper Archer is just the right balance of power and payload.

The Piper PA-28-181 Archer is one of America's most popular aircraft due to its excellent flight characteristics, affordability, reliability, and robust design. No other aircraft, in its class, balances power and payload so well as the 4-seat, 180 horsepower Piper PA-28 line of aircraft.

This Archer III, N4125V, is a "no damage history" aircraft with low airframe hours, a factory original equipment engine with lots of hours remaining, an unmolested factory IFR panel, and complete logbooks from day one. Many Archers have been subjected to flight school abuse and have accumulated many airframe hours. However, this Archer has never done flight school duty, as evidenced by logbook entries and the overall appearance of the aircraft. The aircraft is always hangared and has lived its entire life in the southwest U.S., most of it in Arizona.

Please carefully review the specs, the detailed high resolution image gallery, and the walkaround video below. A significant effort has been made to fully review logbooks and document the specifications and history of this aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Walkaround Video

Aircraft Evaluation

As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review.

My goal is that any Buyer making the effort to look at an aircraft in person can first see the aircraft "virtually" on this web page.

Exterior - This Piper Archer III has definite ramp appeal. The original factory paint (blue and Las Vegas gold metallic, on white) has been well cared for and has retained depth and shine, no doubt because the aircraft is always hangared and well cared for. It looks even better in person than it does in the pictures.

During the intake process, I noticed that the aluminum and fiberglass surfaces are in good condition, void of any hail damage or other issues. There is one very minor instance of what's probably "hangar rash" on the left aileron, but it is not easily spotted. And, there is a very minor spot of paint scrape on a wing tip. This is nitpicking, since the aircraft is overall in terrific condition.

The Plexiglas appears bright and haze-free on all windows, consistent with excellent care and being stored in a hangar. Tires look healthy and have plenty of remaining tread.

The Image Gallery (below) contains close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a better idea of the aircraft exterior condition.

Instrument Panel - The standard factory-issue IFR panel in this Archer III is very clean and has remained unmolested, with only the addition of a Stratus ESG ADS-B transponder (ADS-B Out and In) which provides live weather and traffic to the EFB of your choice (such as ForeFlight). The panel has a pair of Bendix/King KX155A navcom radios which work with a Bendix/King glideslope/localizer indicator, and a separate Bendix/King localizer indicator. The panel also has an IFR-certified Bendix/King KLN94 GPS, and a Bendix/King KAP140 autopilot (currently INOP).

Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.

Interior - The interior is standard late-model Piper issue, with comfortable leather seating. The headliner and side panels have a spartan-like feel to them. The pilot's seat leather shows significant wear, with one spot of separation on the forward-side of the seatback. However, the leather is still very much useable. The rear seat leather is in nice condition.

Carpet, headliner, and side panels are in good condition, but could use a quick professional cleaning to really shine. Overall, though, the interior is nice and with a little bit of TLC, would come back to nearly factory original appearance.

Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery for more details on the interior condition.
