The incredibly popular and affordable Piper Archer is just the right balance of power and payload.
The Piper PA-28-181 Archer is one of America's most popular aircraft due to its excellent flight characteristics, affordability, reliability, and robust design. No other aircraft, in its class, balances power and payload so well as the 4-seat, 180 horsepower Piper PA-28 aircraft.
This Piper PA-28-181 Archer II N8063C is a "no known damage history" aircraft with moderately low airframe hours, a mid-time factory rebuilt engine, a modest IFR panel, and complete logbooks from day one. Many of these aircraft have been subjected to flight school abuse and have accumulated many airframe hours. However, N8063C appears to have never done flight school duty, as evidenced by logbook entries and the overall appearance of the aircraft. The aircraft is always hangared and has lived much of its life in Arizona and Southern California over the past several decades.
Please carefully review the specs, the detailed high resolution image gallery, and the walkaround video below. A significant effort has been made to fully review logbooks and document the specifications and history of this aircraft. If you reach out to me, I can digitally share all logbooks and important documents.

Aircraft Evaluation
| As the broker, I make a significant effort to represent an aircraft in as much detail as possible. I share with you not only the benefits and features I've discovered, but also the issues or concerns that I found during my extensive intake and deep logbook review process. I present dozens of detailed, high resolution images, and an extensive walkaround video. Please review this material in detail. All logbooks and other important documents are professionally scanned, well organized, and available for your review.
My goal is that any Buyer making the effort to look at an aircraft in person can first see the aircraft "virtually" on this web page. |
Exterior - Overall, the exterior looks good on this Archer II. During the intake process, I noted no evidence of hangar rash, hail, or any other major damage. The sheet aluminum is straight, and the engine cowlings are straight and in good shape. There are several minor dings on control surfaces, barely noticeable if I didn't point them out to you (they are visible in the images below if you zoom in).
Exterior paint is "fair to good", and perfectly acceptable for years to come, particularly if the aircraft is continued to be hangared. There is some evidence of fading in some areas on the dark green, as to be expected for paint that is more than 20 years old. There are several areas of chipped paint, but no major issues. Professional treatment of the paint is likely to bring lots of life back to it, and is a great "sweat equity" way to improve this nice Archer.
The Plexiglas appears bright and haze-free on all windows, consistent with having been replaced several years back and always being hangared.
The Image Gallery (below) contains close-up, detailed, high resolution images so that you can get a better idea of the aircraft exterior condition.
Instrument Panel - The basic "six pack" IFR panel on Six Three Charlie is modest and clean. A recently upgraded Garmin GPS175 adds tremendous value to the panel, and with a pair of the venerable KX155 nav/com radios, and a King DME, the aircraft is nicely qualified for IFR training and flight.
The upgraded Garmin GTX345 ADS-B In/Out Transponder provides access to dual-link ADS-B "In" traffic and subscription-free weather. These services are accessible wirelessly with your favorite EFB such as ForeFlight.
Please refer to the "Avionics and Equipment" list above for complete details of all avionics, and to the Image Gallery below for close-up images.
Interior - The interior is well appointed. The condition of the leather and carpet up front is "fair" but 100% useable. These issues are easily addressed by an owner for relatively low cost, though. The plastics and headliner are in reasonable condition and can use some deep cleaning. The door panels and side panels are in good condition.
Please review the high resolution images in the Image Gallery for more details on the interior condition.
